Please find below the answers to some of our more frequently asked questions. If you have any other questions relating to vehicle rentals please do not hesitate to call us.
Are there any age restrictions?
Yes, drivers will need to be between 25 and 70 years of age and held a full license for minimum of two years.
What if I have endorsements on my licence?
Drivers with minor endorsements, i.e. speeding offences are acceptable. (Maximum 6 points within 4 years). All other endorsements are at the discretion of BTL and may attract a surcharge, please call for information.
What documentation will you need to see?
We will need to see your driving licence. We also need to see your passport and a utility bill (gas, electric or similar).
Do your rates include insurance?

When does the rental period begin and end?
Our rental days run from 08.00am to 08.00am 7 days a week
What if I wanted to pick the vehicle up the evening before
Subject to availability evening collections are possible (Monday to Friday) a charge is payable for this service. Rates available on request.
What are your opening hours?
Monday to Friday 08.00am to 5.30pm, Saturday 08.00am to 12.00pm, Sunday 08.00am to 09.00am (pre booked vehicles only).
Can I return the vehicle out of hours?

Do you allow additional drivers?
Yes we do, but ALL drivers must be approved by BTL and must have completed ‘additional driver’ forms prior to driving, there is an additional charge of £8.00 per day plus VAT for each additional driver.
Can I take the vehicle to Europe?
Yes, only by prior arrangement with BTL. Additional charges will apply and additional documentation will be needed, please contact us for a quote.
Do your vehicles have breakdown cover?
Yes, all our vehicles have RAC cover for home start, road side assistance and relay, however you are not covered for self inflicted breakdowns i.e., filling up with wrong fuel, breaking keys, flattening batteries through excessive use of tail lifts without the engine running.
How do I pay for my rental and do you require a deposit?
All rentals must be paid for in advance either by credit or debit card. A deposit is also required (standard deposit £250.00) which is payable by credit or Visa debit card. Unfortunately we cannot accept cash, switch, solo, maestro or electron for the deposit.
All deposits are taken on a pre authorisation basis.
